Amelie's Nursery

Our client was looking to create the perfect nursery setting in readiness for the birth of baby girl Amelie. Wanting a space that was stylish yet comfortable, luxe yet accessible – stylish mum Nicola also envisioned the room growing as her daughter did; without having to make too many dramatic changes to update it as Amelie grew.

We began with a home visit to assess the space – this was the only room that had been left untouched in the beautiful family since moving in, so provided the perfect blank canvas. Daylight filled the room, and helped to instantly develop an idea. Soft pinks, lilacs, whites and rose-gold were the delicate palette, with Nicola requesting above all, a beautiful light fitting. With an existing carpet and sofa to work around, we needed to seamlessly combine these with the new scheme to product a comfortable yet beautiful room.

Beginning with gathering a wealth of ideas in both design and practical solutions, West by Design presented the Nicola with a design board, outlining ideas for colours, lighting, furniture and accessories. Work began to source all of the pieces, with the room completed in February 2018, ready for the new arrival.
